pant Fit problems & solutions

“My underpants are sagging in the rear- it’s as if there is too much material?”

There are two reasons for this either the elasticity in the garment has worn out or you are not selecting a product which compliments your figure. If it is the latter, opt for brief or boxer which is made with a higher elasticity blend which will stay taught across your buttocks rather than 100% cotton.

“The waistband on my underpants digs in and sometimes chafes me…”

If this is the problem with all your pants you should consider going up a waist size. If this only occurs in certain styles try selecting pants with a softer waistband or a slimmer waistban, usually the thicker the waistband the more elasticity will have been used.

“When I am taking part in sports I find I get sweaty and my underpants rub…”

You should select pants which are made from breathable fibres such as microfiber or Coolmax. Some styles are available with breathable mesh panels to aid ventilation. If chafing occurs between your legs opt for a longer style such as a ‘Short’.

“I find my waistband is above my trousers, I do not wish to advertise whose underpants I am wearing…”

Try a ‘Low Rise Brief’ or a ‘Hipster’ style; the waistbands on these styles sit on the hip rather than above the trouser line.

“My underpants keep riding up the back causing uncomfortable ‘wedgies’…”

This could be due to the elasticity in the legs not been tight enough to keep the material pulled tight across your buttocks. Try avoiding styles which are 100% cotton, try look for styles which have a percentage of Lycra, Elastane, Polyamide or Modal.

“I’m left handed and I find most fly’s difficult to operate as they tend to be right handed, is there anything available for me?”

Some of our underpants are now available with Horizontal fly opening!

“I like to wear a slim fit suit but find I often have visible lines from my underwear…”

When purchasing underwear look for items made from a fine rib, this will make it a finer material under your trousers.
Materials such as Microfiber (made from Polyamide Meryl) are lighter in weave than cotton therefore the seams on items made from Microfiber are usually flatter and smoother.

Also, you could try a ‘Thong’ it has the same support as a ‘Brief’ or a ‘Trunk’ but without the visible seams.

“I have to wear a urethral catheter is there any types of underpants you can recommend?”

We would recommend you purchase a pair of close fitting briefs with legs in such as a Trunk/Short/Midway to keep the catheter straight and snug to the leg. Briefs with strong elasticity in the legs can ‘kink’ the line so are therefore not recommended.

“I now have to wear a pad due to incontinence is there a type of underpants I should purchase?

You should opt for styles that provide full coverage to the buttocks such as a ‘Full brief’ or a ‘Maxi brief’ if you like to wear briefs, or a ‘Midway’ or ‘Short’ if your prefer a boxer brief.
